just wrapped-up my first con! big thanks to Eugene Huang for making this all possible! i learned so much in 3 short days and got to meet a bunch of cool new people!

this is the first painting i worked on Gi. jeff.  the plan originally was to do all the backgrounds traditionally to capture the Gi. joe show from the 80's, but that would've been way too time consuming and we would've never finished the episode on time had we gone that route. this was definitely a very valuable learning experience for me.  ive tried to imitate  that "traditional" look before but never to this extend!

its been almost a year now since i stopped by chinatown to paint.  the last painting was a complete disaster on the ipad, i wish i still had it so i could show the comparison. this one wasnt easy, but im happy with the way it turned out!
